How to Use the Estimated Reach Tool
Prior to launching a new Campaign, we recommend running an inventory forecast to ensure each budget is set up to deliver in full with optimal performance.
The Estimated Reach tool appears in the Budget Editor on the lower right-hand side under Budget Snapshot. To run an inventory forecast, click the "Check Inventory" button. The platform will return a summary of inventory that matches your Budget parameters.
Key Metrics
Target Impressions lists the number of impressions/views/clicks required for the Budget to deliver in full based on the Rate Type, Budget Amount, and Rate selected.
Total Impressions lists the total inventory in the Nativo network that matches the targeting parameters and flight dates of the Budget.
Available Impressions lists the subset of Total Impressions that is not yet accounted for by other live campaigns, showing inventory available to deliver given the Budget targeting parameters and flight dates.
📘Recommended Ratio of Available to Target Impressions
Aim for Available Impressions to land 5x higher than Target Impressions to ensure strong delivery and enable room for the platform to optimize, maximizing performance.
How to Increase Inventory Availability
When Available Impressions are less than 5x higher than Target Impressions, here are a few common steps to increase inventory availability:
Add more contextual categories into rotation on the Targeting > Category tab. News and Arts & Entertainment are the largest categories.
If targeting a package or whitelist, ensure it contains a minimum of 100 publications
If targeting audience segments, add as many relevant segments as possible, focusing on those with larger cookie counts
If targeting audience segments, consider A/B testing data targeting against a contextual only budget, which will result in delivering impressions within cookieless environments
If targeting a narrow geographic area, consider expanding to the broader DMA or including surrounding zip codes
