Prebid Integration

Prebid is the open-source, industry-leading header bidding framework that publishers leverage for inventory monetization.

You now have the ability to plug demand from Nativo Demand Channels into your existing Prebid setup with Nativo's Bidder Adapter.

The Prebid integration enables the following benefits:

  • Unlocks additional incremental fill against existing IAB ad inventory.

  • Turnkey activation within your Prebid configuration with minimal code changes.

Integration Steps

Step 2:
Select v.4.36.0 or later, i.e. versions supported by Nativo’s adapter.

Step 3:
Ensure Nativo is selected (along with other adapters you are currently using) to be included as a bidder within your configuration:

Step 4:
Click the “Get Prebid.js!” to download your new Prebid file, which should replace the existing file currently on your website.

Step 5:

  • Provide Nativo a mapping spreadsheet breaking out each ad unit to enable bidding against. Each ad unit should include a name, size, and, optionally, device type (if the placement is either desktop- or mobile-only).

  • Currently supported ad sizes are 300x250, 300x600, 320x50, 728x90, 728x250 and 970x250.

Note: To simplify setup, Nativo strongly recommends limiting setup to the 20 highest volume placements for these sizes.

Step 6:

  • For each ad unit specified in Step 5 above, Nativo will set up a corresponding placement within the Nativo platform.

  • Nativo will provide you the resulting ad unit-to-placement ID mapping prior to setup.

  • Add the Nativo bidder along with the corresponding Nativo placement ID within your Prebid ad unit configuration for each ad unit.

Depending on the number of placements to activate, Nativo may need 3-10 days lead time to complete the back-end setup.

In addition to the mapping sheet, Nativo will provide Ads.txt records to add to your files to ensure maximum demand.

Content Landing Pages for Native Article Demand

Receiving unique demand from Nativo’s proprietary Native Article ad format requires one additional integration step--building and hosting a Content Landing Page (CLP) within your CMS.   • CPMs 25% - 50% higher than standard Native Display campaigns.

🚧Recommended QA

To ensure proper setup, Nativo recommends you provide a test page that forces only Nativo as an eligible bidder on that page. This will allow for complete QA of the end-to-end bidding flow -- receiving the request from Prebid, sending a bid back to Prebid, winning the auction, rendering the ad, and ensuring all Nativo impression tracking and viewability measurement is firing correctly.

🚧Reporting

To monitor potential discrepancies we ask that you provide reporting from your ad server at a regular cadence. Within the first week of integration, we recommend sharing data on a daily basis and then moving to weekly, broken out by site and day thereafter.
