Maximize revenue with the highest quality, and most robust demand options available to publishers.

The Nativo Ad Platform gives you full control over your demand options in the form of Demand Channels. Each demand channel represents a sgroup of buyers and rules that are available to the publisher. Demand Channels can compete head-to-head for full yield optimization or work together in a waterfall of priorities.

Demand Channels are exchanges that provide supplemental, high quality demand. Depending on the channel, demand is either sold directly by Nativo via our one-to-one relationships with premium advertisers, or by our third-party demand providers.

You'll find 2 options for managing monetization settings.

  • Publication Settings. Publication-specific overrides for more control.

  • Demand Channel Defaults. Global settings applied across all publications.

Publication Settings

Each publication can override the global demand channel settings for more granular control over monetization. You'll find these settings under each publication in your list.

Smart loading

Smart loading provides you with a turnkey solution to improve measured viewability, increasing the value of your inventory. Smart Loading enhances publishers' advertisement portfolios by promoting higher viewability. Instead of loading all the ads on the page at once, this new solution anticipates when the user scrolls toward an ad slot and sends the ad request. This eliminates many scenarios where a user lands on the page without scrolling to the bottom, removing ads that are not seen. Instead of a developer adding code to each page, simply identify the publications or sections you would like smart loading, and determine the configuration settings. With smart loading, you have the option to turn this on at the section level, or for your entire publication..

To enable smart loading, there are three values that must be configured at the publication level.

  1. Lookahead Value: searches for the first placement/selector it finds. This is in addition to the current viewport. Configuring the lookahead value to 1 will continually scan 1 viewport ahead of the current viewport and the user.

  2. Grouping Value: The length of a grouping, defined by a multiple of a viewport. When the lookahead viewport finds a selector, it will reference the grouping value. If grouping value is set to 1 viewport, all placements within 1 viewport will be lumped in the ad request and displayed.

  3. Mobile Scaler: A multiplier applied to the Lookahead and Grouping values that will be applied to mobile to account for the smaller viewport size.

Limitations
When competitive restrictions are in place for smart loading, we are able to enforce the rules for the group of ads loaded, for example, ads that are located next to each other. For subsequent groups that are loaded, it is possible that there are ads between the two groups that are in violation.

This feature works only with the Nativo javascript tag and is not compatible with our GAM integration or header bidding.

❗️Check configuration compatibility with your Account Manager prior to activation

Some HTML configurations conflict with the technology that is required for Smart Loading to work properly. Our team has developed a testing protocol to identify these conflicts and will be happy to help ensure a smooth launch.

Demand Channel Defaults

Demand Channel Defaults apply to all your publications. This is a convenient way to manage floors, priorities, and other rules for each demand channel across a large number of sites at once.
