Managing competition and waterfall among channels

When opting-in to demand channels, a priority level is required to determine the order of when the auction is held. A separate auction is held for each priority level (High, Medium, and Low).

Demand channels have a default priority when they are first opted-in. Defaults are as follows:

  • Publisher owned and operated (O&O): High

  • Nativo Premium: Medium

  • Nativo Open: Low

  • Client-Side Demand: Low

To adjust demand channel priorities, navigate to your desired demand channel settings screen. Under the General tab, select the desired priority level. Remember to click 'Save' when you're done.

📘Important:

If there are multiple demand channels with the same priority level, demand will compete based on bid price and the highest bid will serve.

Lower priced bids at a high priority will win over a higher priced bid set at a low priority.

Managing Settings Across Multiple Properties

For publishers with multiple publications where demand channel priorities can remain consistent across all publications, the "Override Global Default Settings" can be left unchecked. Global changes to all demand channels should be made at the “Demand Channel Defaults” tab, underneath “Monetization” (see screenshot below).

🚧Note

The example above indicates “Override Global Default Settings” is checked. This allows custom settings/prioritization on a per publication basis so any changes will only affect the current publication.
