When using Nativo with Google Ad Manager (GAM), you will need to take some extra steps once your campaign is created to set up trafficking within GAM. To learn more about using Nativo and GAM together, see
Comparing Options For Direct Sales.

Getting Started

When used with GAM, Nativo acts as a creative ad server, optimization engine, and measurement tool while GAM is responsible for delivery, pacing, and targeting. In other words, Nativo is responsible for making sure ads serve and appear native to each site and placement, with the optimal combination of headline and preview image, but it is up to GAM to decide where and when the ad serves.

To begin working with GAM, you'll need to create a tracking campaign and advertiser. These details ensure that reporting within the platform aligns with what you see in GAM. You'll also have the opportunity to include additional details like optimization criteria and any third-party tracking tags you want to add to your ads.

Simplified settings help Nativo align metrics with GAM.

GAM Budgets

When used with GAM, Nativo Budgets have fewer features but are still required when creating campaigns. The delivery information you specify will be used to provide comprehensive reporting, but will not effect delivery of your campaign. Your selected optimization goal will only be used to select an ad and creative combination.
Note that targeting settings should not be used.

Exporting Trafficking Tags

After creating your campaign, budget, and ad, you are ready to export trafficking tags for use in GAM. You'll find export options in the action menus for ads and budgets. To allow Nativo to choose between multiple ads, use the budget-level option. To control individual ads, you can use the ad-level option.

Export a trafficking tag for use in GAM.

Copy the complete tag that appears for your ad. Note that each ad exports a unique tag, so you'll need to repeat this process for each ad you want to traffic.

Creating a GAM Creative

Paste your tag into a new GAM creative and complete the trafficking process in GAM as you would for any line item.
