1. Ensure your sites are opted into all Demand Formats:

Nativo delivers demand through several Ad Formats. You can add various Ad formats by navigating to your demand channel settings, and allowing all ad formats under the “Advance” tab.

*Note if you have multiple publications all with the same demand channel settings, you can do this one time under the demand channel defaults tab:

2. Opt into all Demand Channels:

Nativo serves demand through several demand channels. Opting into all demand channels maximizes the potential for Nativo to fill an ad request.

You can opt into demand channels available to you via demand channel settings. If you see that you are not opted into a demand channel, click “add” next to the demand channel.

To gain access to additional demand channels please reach out to your account manager or [email protected].

3. Ensure All Preferred Placements Are Integrated:

Nativo’s best practice for placements includes a few preferred locations. Ensure that these placement locations are covered across your publications for best performance and monetization:

  • Middle of Article Placement – Positioned within the body of the article, this placement is often visible when pages load and tends to generate a high click-through rate (CTR) due to its strategic placement within the content.

  • Bottom of Article Placement – As most readers tend to finish articles, this placement at the end of the page is often seen by users, leading to an increased CTR.

  • Home Page Main Well Placement – Positioned prominently when users land on your website’s homepage, ensuring visibility and higher engagement.

  • Section Front Main Well Placement – Section front pages with a well-placed, above-the-fold position attract higher visibility, especially since these sections receive frequent traffic.

4. Review Current Advertiser and DSP Blocks:

Fill can be limited by existing Advertiser and/or DSP blocks that may no longer need to be in place.

To review Advertiser blocks, navigate to the Blocking Ads section in the platform.

Within each respective section you can review the list of current blocks and “Unblock” them by clicking the Unblock button if the block is no longer needed.

To review DSP blocks in place, navigate to the demand channel settings. Within the setting of each demand channel, you can view the connected DSPs. Blocked DSPs will be greyed out. Simply hover over the blocked DSP and a “Allow” button will appear.

5. Ensure Placement Viewability is at least 50%:

An important performance metric for determining placement performance is Viewability (Impression in which 50% of the in-feed ad unit’s pixels are in the browser view for 1 continuous second or longer, in keeping with the MRC viewability standard). The higher a placement viewability, the more desirable that inventory looks to Nativo demand. The viewability benchmark for Nativo is at least 50%.

The main way to increase placement viewability is to have placements higher on your site pages, preferably before the fold.

A quick way to see the viewability of your placements is to run a demand report broken down by placement and using the metric “Demand Viewability Rate.” Set your time frame and run the report.

Contact your account manager or [email protected] to see how you can increase your placement viewability.

6. Ensure your Ads.txt files are up to date:

Ads.txt lines allow buyers to identify Authorized Digital Sellers or Authorized Sellers for apps, ensuring they purchase authentic publisher inventory. If a partner’s ads.txt line is not included on your site, they won’t be able to access your inventory or serve demand.

To view your most up to date Ads.txt record follow the steps here.

7. Expand your integration paths:

Nativo offers multiple integration paths. In order to see the most monetization as possible, Nativo recommends integrating through as many of these paths as possible. Integration paths include:
